Firebird
Firebird belongs to Maria Alexea’s Firebird series, a body of self-staged, spacetime-configured photographic works in which the artist is simultaneously creator, director and performer.
Conceived within natural landscapes and realised through the physical presence of the artist before the camera, the work brings body, movement, space and light into a single composition. Maria Alexea’s photographs emerge from real actions and real environments, without generative AI intervention or the artificial reconstruction of the photographed scene.
Her work seeks a passage beyond the ordinary boundaries of time and space — a visual encounter with what Plato named the True, the Good and the Beautiful. Through suspended gestures, leaps and dances at the edges of cliffs, rocks and open landscapes, the human figure becomes both presence and symbol: an image of transformation and of the human being yet to come.
In Firebird, this movement becomes an ascent. The figure appears caught between earth and sky, weight and flight, the visible body and its possible transfiguration.

Fine Art Canvas Limited Edition
The Fine Art Canvas edition is strictly limited to 50 individually numbered canvases.
Each canvas is:
- individually numbered within this strictly limited edition of 50 canvases, with no additional canvases to be produced beyond the edition;
- produced with the artist’s signature;
- printed on 410 g/m² premium cotton/poly blend canvas;
