Cultural and Societal Vision

Transformatio Amoris (ASBL) is a non-profit association committed to supporting, preserving, and promoting artistic, philosophical, audiovisual, literary, musical, and educational works created by independent artists, with particular attention to unique, female, and multidisciplinary artistic paths.

The association’s mission focuses on the protection, documentation, and public transmission of original works, so that they may remain accessible over time and contribute to cultural memory, education, and civic reflection.

Current Activities

One of the association’s principal cultural activities currently consists in the preservation, dissemination, and protection of the work of the artist Maria Alexea, whose body of work is characterized by:

• A rare multidisciplinarity (photography, painting, cinema, music, writing)
• An independent and autonomous artistic practice developed across multiple disciplines
• A philosophical, scientific, educational, and societal reach through visual works, film, writing, and original compositions

The association’s support includes digital preservation, rigorous documentation of originals, and the public dissemination of works through curated publishing and distribution channels.

In this context, Maria Efthymiou, professionally known as Maria Alexea, has granted Transformatio Amoris ASBL non-exclusive exploitation and management rights relating to her artistic works.

Within the scope of this mandate, the association is authorised to manage, publish and distribute the works, administer and negotiate licensing requests, and protect and enforce the rights relating to those works on her behalf, including through appropriate notices, requests and correspondence with platforms, intermediaries, publishers, developers, commercial entities and other relevant parties.

This mandate does not transfer ownership of copyright or moral rights, which remain exclusively vested in Maria Efthymiou.

Artistic and Ethical Protection Clause

In a world where images, sounds, and ideas are increasingly captured, recycled, and monetized without regard for their creators, donations, patronage, or other private support received by the association may be allocated to:

• The protection and enforcement of copyright and moral rights
• The rigorous documentation and authentication of original works
• Concrete action against unauthorized use, plagiarism, or unfair exploitation — particularly when originating from commercial entities, agencies, platforms, media companies, or automated systems

The association also welcomes the support of jurists, researchers, thinkers, and engaged citizens who are sensitive to these fundamental issues of memory, justice, and cultural transmission.
